Best Tattoo Removal - Remove bad Tattoos

I wrote this article to explain why I think coverups are the best tattoo removal method, if that sounds like something you might be intersted in then please read on.

Many of you have written to me and asked me what I think the best method of tattoo removal is, first of all I want to say to all of you out there on the Internet's, Cor Blimey; you don't ask for much do you?

I mean there are virtually hundreds of different methods of tattoo removal, and you want me to look at all those methods and pick out the single one that I think stands head and shoulders over the rest?

Well okay, sure: no problem, I can do that.

I do have to say; coverups.

Now a lot of you right now are probably staring at your screens and preparing to argue the toss about whether or not coverups count as a method of tattoo removal. Well I say they do count, I'm saying that coverups are the best kind of tattoo removal; you even get a free tattoo out of it.

Okay so strictly speaking you don't walk out of your cover-up with completely bare skin were your tattoo used to be, but let's focus on the important thing here; you used to have an ugly tattoo, and now you don't have an ugly tattoo; therefore I'm prepared to call coverups a method of tattoo removal.

Here's why I think coverups are the best kind of tattoo removal:

first of all coverups are very cheap to do; they really only cost whatever the new tattoo cost you, and since I've really only believe in three kinds of tattoo removal, that makes coverups a lot cheaper than any other alternatives (apart from Tat B Gone of course; ridiculously cheap stuff). I mean how much would it cost to get your tattoo covered up? $500? $1000, if it's a particularly big tattoo. Let's compare that to what it would cost to remove that tattoo with lasers. Big tattoo, you would be looking at many many thousands of dollars. Getting a coverup is on the low end of the scale in terms of cost of tattoo removal, and that's one the reasons I think it's the best kind of tattoo removal.

Now here is probably the biggest reason why I think coverups are the best kind of tattoo removal; the shear time in which it can be done. Do you have any idea how long it takes to remove a tattoo with laser ? Or even with Tat B Gone? Because these are not quick processes. If story of getting your tattoo in the first place is a big action-packed bonanza; directed by Michael Bay and an excessive special effects budget, then the story of getting rid of your tattoo, is likely to be an epic Odyssey. How long do you think it takes to get a tattoo removed with a cover-up? It really doesn't take as long; I mean admittedly, you generally have to fade the tattoo first, but that doesn't take nearly as long as it would to completely remove the tattoo using any of the other options, and once you have faded the tattoo all you have to do is visit a tattoo parlor, and then Bam! Your tattoo is gone. Seriously; I really like that idea; getting your tattoo is an action-packed blast, getting rid of it should be one as well. If you want to get a cover-up to get rid of your tattoo, then it can be gone in the space of a few hours. And that is the biggest reason I think coverups are the best kind of tattoo removal; they only take a moment to get done.

And there you have it; that's my pick for the best kind of tattoo removal. Now admittedly many of you are probably already mentally writing e-mails to me, complaining that coverups just don't count as a form of tattoo removal, and I'm prepared to admit that coverups aren't for everyone, but when you consider the low prices, and the quicker timescale, I'm happy to endorse coverups as the best kind of tattoo removal. I'm not even trying to sell you anything; I don't have any kind of deal with any kind of tattoo artist in order to plug their work(although that's a great idea if anyone out there wants to e-mail me) I genuinely think that if you have an ugly tattoo what you need to do is find a tattoo artist(maybe not your regular one) and simply get a nice new tattoo to cover the old one up.

It's been fun kids but now I have to go. I want you all to remember the tattoo removal motto; before getting a tattoo always ask yourself, am I, in this particular chronological moment, drunk off my face?

Thank you and goodnight.

  1. I would have to agree with you on this, tatto cover ups as bar far the best way to go if you are happy with having tattoos in general, more drastic methods such as laser tattoo removal and skins grafts etc I think are more appropriate for people who as well as not liking the design or look of their tattoo, they have decided that they dont want to have a tattoo on their body at all, in which case obviously coverups wont be appropriate to their needs. Nice post, full of great information.
