The cost of getting a tattoo removed - RemoveBadTattoos

I've written this article to help people find out how much it's likely to cost to get their tattoos removed, if that sounds like something you might be interested in then please read on.

Cost of tattoo removal

I'm a big fan of saying that there are really only three options if you want to remove tattoo's; you have Laser (the big daddy of the bunch), tattoo removal creams like Tat B Gone, or, my personal favourite, cover-ups.

Now I want to take a moment to review all these methods.

We start off with Laser tattoo removal. Now laser is what most people think of when they think about tattoo removal, and for good reason; laser is pretty much the standard when it comes to tattoo removal, it's been in use since the late 1980's and has pretty much been improving since then.

Now while laser is great at removing tattoos there is a problem with it and that is the expense involved in using it. As I've already shown the cost of laser tattoo removal really is quite extraordinary. If you want to know how much it will cost to get rid of your tattoo with laser then you should know that it will easily sit at four digits.

Frankly a price in the thousands is a bit much for me. I'm not saying that I wouldn't use laser if I had a tattoo I wanted to get rid of, but I am saying that I would only be using it if I didn't manage to get rid of it with the next item on this list.

Tattoo removal creams like Tat B Gone are tricky things to work with. Sometimes they work great, and sometimes they don't work at all. It seems to me that some types of tattoos disappear more easily than others; if you have the name of an (ex)loved one tattooed on then Tat B Gone would be an excellent choice for dealing with it.

One thing I really like about Tat B Gone is the cost. There really isn't one. You can order a trial sample of Tat B Gone for $85, when you put that up against the thousands of dollars laser costs Tat B Gone looks really cheap by comparison.

In spite of everything Tat B Gone isn't my favourite method of dealing with tattoos; I'd like to introduce you all to the concept of cover-ups.

Cover-ups are really simple; you just tattoo a new tattoo over the one you want to get rid of. Here’s my favourite cover-up by the way.

Now we can split hairs all night about whether or not this is technically removing a tattoo, but I think we need to focus on the important thing here; there was a bad tattoo there, now there's not.

Ok so obviously cover-ups aren't for everyone; if you just want to get the tattoos off you then you can try one of the options above but if you want to get something out of being tattooed in the first place then cover-ups are the way to go.

But I still haven't been over the most important piece of information about cover-ups; the price. Cover-ups are only the price of a new tattoo, and while that makes it slightly more expensive than Tat B Gone, it also makes it far less expensive than laser. When you add that low price into the fact that cover-ups can be done in a few hours; as opposed to the year or so you need for the other two methods it's easy to see why I favour cover-ups other the other options.

So to summarise if we were to lay out methods of tattoo removal from most expensive to least expensive it would look something like this; Tat B Gone, Cover-up, Laser.
